When making a lasagna the top layer also needs some sauce under the layer of cheese
I could have just used a recipe to figure that out I guess
but tbh….. its more fun to just make shit up and see what happens
also turns out me daughter really likes the top layer...its basically a giant crunchy cheese crisp to her

As far as cooking mistakes go, if it ends up tasty it’s not really a mistake.

It's all about seasonings
Starch, tomato, beef and cheese, layered in a casserole dish and baked. Lasagna or Enchiladas? Wrong, chili mac.
